State of Public Health Emergency
At the Spanish School of Calgary, we have been keeping updated on the evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 virus in our City. Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to cancel our in person Winter Session classes. While we have implemented significant safety measures and enhanced sanitization protocols, we have not received confirmation from Alberta Health Services that we are able to continue to offer reduced capacity classes, and are mindful of the high case numbers and hospitalization rates for COVID 19.
We hope to continue to offer in person classes as soon as we are permitted to safely reopen our doors. In the meantime, we invite you to join our virtual classes and stay tuned for new class offerings in the future!
Thank you all for your patience in these difficult times. Adelante!
The Spanish School of Calgary
The Spanish School of Calgary was started in Calgary in the year 2000 by volunteers who believed that knowledge of a language and cultures other than our own is helpful in enhancing every aspect of our lives. The teachers of the Spanish School of Calgary understand that individuals learn in different ways and have developed learning strategies to meet these differing needs. We have small class sizes, low registration rates, and are a community based school.
Our mission is to provide a welcoming and informative school environment for people of all ages who want to learn Spanish and who want to know more about Hispanic culture.
